What I like about this photo is the similar pose/stance the two women in black are striking contrasting with the white pedestrian crossing while the man in white is off the path in the darker grounds. The other thing I like about this is the perpendicular line the shadow makes with the crack on the cement.

Steps

One of my ongoing projects is steps. Not sure what deep and meaningful ideas I can get out of it, but watch this space.

One of the elements of street photography is seeing patterns and situations. I paid attention to the symmetry of these steps and waited for a subject to disrupt it and capture an aspect of life. Here we have a man in a suit, obviously going to some white collar job. But work isn't everything he does, more and more people are bringing along their working out/sports gear with them so they can squeeze some extra

sweat time after work. 

Waiting on her other half?

As I was street shooting down George St. (Sydney) I found this lovely lady waiting around the corner. I love her pose and her outfit and the striking shopping bag just adds to the whole picture. A person who likes to shop and keep fashionably updated. 

The Street Life

So as I became more intrigued about photography [other than taking happy family shots]. I stumbled across the genre of Street Photography. It was fascinating! Such candid, meaningful shots captured by the 'decisive moment'. It wasn't until Google search brought me to Eric Kim (erickimphotography.com/blog/). I learnt a lot about street photography and so my journey in to the hobby of photography leveled.
